-
A laptop, smartphone, or tablet with a camera and microphone.

What if my signer is not tech-savvy or is elderly for RON?
We provide patient, step-by-step support for less tech-savvy or elderly signers, ensuring the RON process is simple, clear, and comfortable. To make things even easier, we encourage anyone needing extra help to have a tech-savvy friend or family member assist during the signing.

Do all signers need to be located in the same state for a Remote Online Notarization?
No, signers can be in any state or even abroad, as long as they meet the necessary identity verification standards during the RON session. However, you must comply with the RON laws and regulations. It's the signer’s responsibility to ensure the recipient will accept a notarization from a Texas notary before proceeding.
2

Identity verification is accurate and compliant.
-
Recordkeeping (video/audio logs) clearly capture each signer’s personal appearance.
3
What if a signer doesn’t have a Social Security Number (SSN)—can they still complete a RON session?

The notary personally knows the signer and can attest to their identity during the session.
